add a "back" button in the PDF reader.
When I follow a link to a reference in the bibliography there is no way for me to go back. Adding a "back" button would be great. This is a functionality that is present in every PDF (and other formats that allow cross-referencing) reader I have ever used.
This issue has been raised multiple times before (https://mendeley.uservoice.com/forums/4941-general/suggestions/555205-back-forward-buttons-in-pdf-reader and https://mendeley.uservoice.com/forums/4941-general/suggestions/2535840-back-button-while-reading-pdf gathered the most votes but there at least ten other threads) but never reached more than 250 votes. I contact the support team and my understaning now is that it needs to be at least 500. So if you need this feature as much as I do please vote to improve our chances.
TL;DR: If you want this feature, please go to https://mendeley.uservoice.com/forums/4941-general/suggestions/555205-back-forward-buttons-in-pdf-reader and vote (beside the thread title).
At present, multiple threads (listed below) are open regarding this feature. However, it is said that at least 500 votes are needed before it will be considered by Mendeley team. Therefore, we should unite and vote for the same thread, that is, the currently most-voted thread in TL;DR.
I agree! This is implemented in other programs such as Preview with hot keys ⌘[ or ⌘] on mac. This would also make jumping between equations in an article much more convenient. Thanks!
